AddNet is a unique DDI/NAC tool designed to significantly enhance the efficiency of IP address space management and access control in large networks. This is achieved by integrating IP address management (IPAM), core network services (DHCP, DNS), Layer 2 (L2) monitoring, Network Access Control (NAC), and advanced communication with active network elements.
Thanks to proprietary Novicom technologies such as the SGP grid platform, SDP communication protocol, and FireBox appliances, AddNet is designed for flexible deployment in large, distributed networks. Its technical architecture ensures continuity of core network services (L2 monitoring/DDI/NAC) in remote locations, even if the connection to the central location is disrupted.
Network management has never been easier!
AddNet supports a unified interface for managing IPAM, L2 monitoring, DDI, and NAC. This saves operators time compared to traditional methods, where these tasks would be spread across multiple systems. With AddNet, adding a new device to the network takes only 20 seconds!
The integrated L2 monitor alerts administrators to the presence of new or unknown devices in the network, identifies their exact location in the network, and even pinpoints their physical location. From a single screen, administrators can access all relevant information provided by AddNet and add any unique details as needed. On that same screen, they can input or select information about address planning, expiration times, critical infrastructure classification, specific DHCP options, DNS names, and more. Once confirmed, the data is instantly distributed across the entire AddNet infrastructure, updating all key AddNet subsystems (IPAM, DHCP, DNS, RADIUS).
Key Functional Areas Covered by AddNet:
- Powerful L2 Monitoring. A real-time tool that tracks the presence and activity of devices on the network.
- Comprehensive DDI (DHCP/DNS/IPAM). Reliable core network services with simplified control, thanks to the integrated IPAM tool.
- Integrated NAC (Network Access Control). One of its advantages is vendor independence, allowing NAC functionality to operate even in remote locations without a direct connection to headquarters.
- Crisis Planning Support In the event of a security incident, a crisis set can be activated with a single click to immediately disconnect all devices from the network (including those not listed in the crisis set).
- Network Management and Access Control for BYOD and Mobile Devices. A self-service zone enables easy addition of new devices and creation of reception zones.
- Advanced Communication with Active Network Elements. Monitors port utilization and identifies unused ports on active network elements.
- Overview Dashboard. Displays the most important information about the network and its usage in one place.
- Detailed Reporting. Provides extensive options for gathering in-depth information about devices, particularly useful during security incident investigations.
- Advanced Network Policies. Includes microsegmentation, managing trusted devices and trusted pools, and setting time-based access rules.
- Active SOC. Ensures immediate incident response by allowing SOC operators to isolate or disconnect compromised devices without requiring assistance from local network administrators.
- Integration. Streamlines network management and accelerates incident response.
- Alert Center. Simplifies the administrative tasks associated with investigating alerts.
AddNet is a key part of Novicom’s Active SOC strategy, which Novicom and its SOC partners aim to promote in the market. By combining AddNet for efficient network service management and access control with Novicom BVS for network device visualization (including links to business processes) and Novicom ELISA for cybersecurity event collection and analysis, Novicom offers a unique portfolio that helps customers quickly and seamlessly integrate with SOC services.
